Hard work and dedication by the students, parents and staff of Lomitas Elementary has resulted in Lomitas being recognized as a California Distinguished School in 1998, 2002 and again in 2006! In addition we were honored as a National Blue Ribbon School in 1999. This honor is the nations' highest recognition for educational excellence.

Each award cycle has allowed students, parents and staff to demonstrate our high standards and expectations for the learning community and how we go about the task of achieving those goals. Cooperation amongst all of the stakeholders and dedication to the task made it all possible. It was a rigorous examination of ourselves both from internal and external evaluators. Well done Leopards!
